Holme Farm

Home Farm is a traditional Lincolnshire Farmhouse tastefully modernised yet retaining much of its historical character. It is situated down a quiet country lane a mile or so from the village of Marshchapel. We offer you the entire farmhouse as a comfortable holiday home which can sleep up to eight adults. Travel cots, high chairs, baby baths and safety gates are all included for the benefit of your little ones. In the adjacent barns and available as a separate booking are the travellers wagons sleeping a further 5/6 persons.

Downstairs the large kitchen/diner is perfect for those family get-togethers and is fully equipped with everything that you need to prepare, present and store your meals. There is a tall larder fridge, a fridge-freezer as well as a traditional pantry for your use. A spacious utility area with a washer and dryer, which comes in handy for those ‘muddy boots days’ .There is also an additional shower room and toilet on the ground floor. There are two cozy sitting rooms each seating up to 5 people, one with a wood burning stove. Upstairs there are four bedrooms: two king-sized doubles, a triple room and a small single. Your comfort is our priority and so we carefully choose high quality mattresses to give you the best nights sleep. The upstairs bath and shower is shared between all rooms.

Holme Farm truly has everything you’ll need to feel at home. Outside in the adjacent barns there is an additional games room for your exclusive use. This features pool and table tennis tables and a bar area and wood burning stove. There is a charcoal BBQ for your use and extensive grounds for you to enjoy.

Your stay will be as private as you wish, with Edward and Liz just a field away at New Farm where the Woodland Lodge is situated. Access to Holme Farm is secured by a lockable gate and beyond the gate the track continues into our private farmland to which you are welcome to walk along. Please note: Willow Tree House with the pond and barns on the left as you drive to Holme Farm is our neighbour’s private residence.

Outside, you are surrounded by views of the peaceful Lincolnshire countryside. Take a leisurely stroll along our private farm tracks and look out for all the abundant wildlife including deer, hares, pheasants and many less common species of birds such as the barn owl or buzzard. Take a longer walk to Donna Nook on the coast famous for its breeding grey seal colony (October to December). Marshchapel is ideally located for exploring the quiet beauty of the Lincolnshire Wolds and Marshes. Visit the Georgian market town of Louth and discover many independent shops, charming cafés and local attractions that showcase the best of Lincolnshire’s heritage such as the magnificent Parish Church of St James.
